Charity Auction is underway

Here is my framed Brown Long-Eared Bat painting that I have donated to The Derbyshire Bat Group.

The frame gives a floating effect & measures 35cm x 65cm. The colours in it coordinate with my painting perfectly. I’m so pleased with the result

Brown long-eared bats are one of the most common bats in the British Isles but are rarely recorded due to their quiet echolocation calls which make them extremely difficult to pick up on bat detectors. They whisper their ultrasonic calls so that moths don’t hear them approaching and so they need their huge ears to listen for the echoes coming back in the dark.

This painting is now open for bidding until 8pm on Halloween at https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/derbyshirebats.

The auction is on behalf of the Derbyshire Bat Group which is a registered charity (number 1139339) working across Derbyshire to conserve & protect its bats and their environment.
